Upgrading Mac Os 7.5 To 8.1 ?

i recently found a powerbook 540c with mac os 7.5, id like to upgrade it to 8.1, because thats the highest that can run on it.

where can i find the software ?

try looking on e-bay again..

by searching for "Mac OS 8.1" i found 11 relevant results.

just make sure what you bid on is an "Install CD" and not an "8.1 update disk"

surely you could splash about $50 and get a mac that would run 9

...how would 50$ be enough to buy a mac that can run 9.0? Please tell me.

if i was to spend money to buy a mac i would buy one that runs X, i asked my uncle and he has the installation disks

It should be able to run Mac OS 9 shouldn't it? Well, if you do get Mac OS 8, you can at least update it to Mac OS 8.6.

nope it doesnt run 9, it can only run upto 8.1, but that doesnt bother me, this powerbook is just a fun little project
