Hi all.
Ok, you know when you minimize on osx, the window is sucked into the dock? Is there a program that lets the same thing happen on XP?
Hi all.

Nope.
its called the genie effect. there is no accurate reproduction of this for windows.
windowfx can do such effects, although not the genie effect
i remeber someone reated a genie like effect
just search the forum
Ah, what I wouldn't do for even a minimal suck.

I would ask but after seeing you avatar i will pretend i didnt read this... so.. yeah... how are you guys doing today?

...
I would suggest using window fx with either skarns jeany from wincustomize or the genie effect by the judge i beleive. They both work well for me. I use the genie for minimizing and skarns jeany for the maximizing. Does know one else use this stuff? I am kinda surprised.
i would suggest waiting for longhorn, if it has the capabilities it is supposed to have, which i think it will, we should be able to do it then. If you dont want to wait for longhorn, get a mac. thats the only other way to get an accurate genie. And if it was really possible, do you think contra :nerd: would still be here?

So true. The second an accurate Genie Effect comes out for Windows, Im leaving.
How's that for motivation. ![]()
If the rumours i`m hearing are true....
by 2007 i might be paying more attention to my future kids, than to suckie, suckie effect ![]()
LONGhorn won`t be out for a LONGtime ![]()

awesome topic title, btw. ![]()
first, just so nobody else has to say it, i think a [sTFF] is in order. no hard feelings.
secondly, there have been various 'genie effects' so far, but nothing truly like the OSX genie. the closest you can get is using WindowFX 2 from Stardock, that has effects for minimizing, etc. check it out.
thirdly, pay attention to Smokescreen, because they seem to be making a system capable of this... and a lot of other things.
peace,
Felix
Thanks for all your help guys ![]()
