Where Is This Icon?
/me guesses shell32.dll
i tried replacing my modified shell32.dll with that from flyakite's files... still nogo ![]()
Those icons are very pickey. There is a special color plate that they use, not using that plate could mess up your system, even cause it not to boot properly. It's really hard to get it just right.
icon in the dialog is displayed in 16*16 format instead of 32*32 format
anyone know why
it may be a BMP instead of an icon...
most of the dialogs i get have the 16*16 icon format... its definitely not the bmp.. pleae help
it's in user32.dll i believe
/me calls for pro's! ->
so far i've replaced shell32.dll.,explorer.exe,comctl32 and yeah i've tried user32.dll no luck
:staffs here: pro's plz help
Are you replacing it with a 256 color icon? Because I believe that's what it has to be. Like I said before, it uses a specific color platte.
actually its the way round i removed all 16 and 256 colored icons so now only windows xp icon formats [48,32,16] are left..[in all modifieable files] but where do these icons come from which dll definetly not shell32
everythings works fine except for dialogs ![]()
I repeat for the thrid time, the dialogs do not show alpha icons (Windows XP, or even True color for that matter), only an icon with a color platte (16,256). You cannot have an alpha channel in the dialog icon.
I am sick of being reason STFF http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?s...hl=dialog+icons
wizard thanx for the info on color palletsof dialogs ... i'll try replacing icons in user32.dll again :moon:
yoooohoooooo :woot: :woot: user32.dll it was and yup icon color pallets was the reason... thanx a mil wizard and all..
lesson learned:
stop STFFing, stop posting, start PMing wizard... (no! please! wizard, don't kill me
!)
