perhaps this can help, it's an app called FILEDRAG... drag and drop the file to this app and it can identify it, knows about 3400 extensions:

Look in the thread about the SmokeScreen project. You need an app called ThemePark. you also need unsanity's APE plugin for it to run. Not sure of the links for them so you'll have to look through the thread.

Be warned here: If you use ThemePark by clicking the "Use for free" button every time you run it, soon that button starts to dodge your mouse and move around the screen!

damn!

from what i know Theme Park is Mac only prog :(

It depends on where the resource files came from.

If they are Mac resource files, good luck opening them on a PC.

If they are PC resource files, i.e., C# or C++ resources, then there are many programs to help you.

OK, sorry for hijacking this thread a bit, but does anyone know how to edit .acs files? I know what they are (Microsoft Character Agent files). What I'm trying to do is find a program that allows me to open up and edit an Office Assistant I got of the internet, and add more sounds and animations. Sad, I know

But any help would be appreciated. It's driving me nuts

I'm a bit rusty on the subject but I remember MACE and MASH being useful for agent stuff; don't know if they will fit your needs though.

MACE

MASH

P.S.: Death to Clippy >.<

That sort of helped. I can open up the MS character thing, and play individual animations and sounds, but I'm trying to extract a paticular sound. Does that make sense?

Any help would be appreciated - I'm not sure if anyone hear had any expertise in this subject
