How do you do scan lines with photoshop?

you type the words "scan" "line" and "photoshop" into google and it gives you hundreds of links that can help you. I did that much but I'm too lazy to list them here. I think one was called bluesfear.

make a 1x3 or 1x2 px canvas (transparent bg)and zoom in alot and fill the top pixel with black, then click edit>define pattern and name it scanline or something. next open the image you want scanlies on and select the fill tool and then select fill pattern at the top and select the scanline pattern and make a new layer and fill it with the scanline pattern

There is an easy way and a hard way.

Easy way:

Create an image with the height of 2 and the width on 1 pixel.

Make sure it has a transparent background.

Use the Pencil tool with a 1px brush.

Color the top pixel with white

Edit -> Define Pattern

Open Image, Create new layer.

Fill Tool -> Pattern -> Select Pattern -> Fill New Layer

Set Line layer Blend mode to "Soft Light"

*Note: Ovelay gives it a defferent touch.

**Note: Black will also work instead of white.

I use to have a link to another tut that made it look like enlarged pixels. I'll try to find it.

ive always used this way

make a new layer

make the background white

go to filters-sketch-halftone pattern

choose lines or dots for carbon fiber

erase out what ya dont want

go to the blending options and mess with soft light, hard light, etc etc
