How To - Add extra seperators

I solved this by creating a 128x128 clear png, then adding a single line in the center, at the 64th pixel.

Then, I drag something random to the dock, choose the seperator icon from the list, add spaces to all the dialog boxes, and

VOILA'!!!

Seperators...

you mind posting the png you used? thanks duckie

#1105

wouldnt the seperator png magnify when you hover over it making it larger then the dock itself?

#1108

Yes, it does magnify, but that's the price you pay for having seperators.

FYI: This was the same way actual OSX users got around the problem of a single seperator and they lived with it.

Duckie:

Are you still using DesktopX as your main "Aqua Dock" ?

or have you switched to Y's dock or Mobydock as the main dock.

Oh hell...I'm so not going back to DX it isnt even funny.

I even uninstalled it.

I use Y'z right now...that is until I see what Moby has planned

I was just wondering because you put some effort in getting a nice DesktopX dock on your computer with pop-up menus, so I was wondering if you were still using it. I think Mobydock will bring some added funtionality and so will Y's dock as time goes by.

Eventually we will not only see a nice visual dock but a very funtional and easy to use one.

Right now I'm working on a LiteStep menu option.

Does that mean that the default separator on the Y's dock can be removed simply by cut and paste method? There is nothing special to the right of the separator right?

I like no separators (clean lines)

Just delete the 5 dashes in the config file and no more sep.

Really?

When I do that, Y'Z dock adds them automagically on next app restart, and the separator is still in the dock... at the and of it...

and don't even think of copy pasting dashes all over your config file... it doesn't work... the dock parses it, takes in the first occurence of separator dashes and removes all the duplicates...
