Aquavolume Beta

Volume.PNG

Get it here: AquaVolume

Just unzip the files to a folder and run AquaVolume.exe. (You won't see anything running ... but it really is.)

To adjust the system volume, hold down the windows key and press "-" to lower the volume and "=" to increase the volume.

You have to use the Task Manager to kill the program.

Have fun...

And you made sure there are no other copies of AquaVolume already running?

I had a problem like that in my testing...I logged out (didn't have to reboot) and logged back in and it was okay.

#9979

hey, Jef!

could you create one bigger app, which have:

mac volume control

eject cd control (when clicked on one of keys in right top corner of keyboard)

and some other functions which have this small grey screen.

Okay? :)

#9981

maybe you could release the source code; so others could find bugs and extend your tool

I'll be changing it to allow you to configure which keys to use for volume up/down.

#10009

Great

I think you should be able to push escape or another key to get the window off your screen when you've finished changing the volume

#10011

This rules jef! I love it! You rule man! :D Just a couple of suggestions. Could you make it fade out real quick like it does in the real one?? And there are white square corners. I know this is a beta, but just a couple of ideas. Its awesome though!

#10014

as i told you this morning, really cool :D great work jef :)

Small request Jef, but for those geeks like myself that are actually using a mac keyboard with volume controls on them would probably love to have the volume functionality mapped to those keys if possible... Amazingly enough windows recognizes and utilizes the volume keys on the keyboard (they acutally work), now all I need is for your program to do the same. Thanks!

#10039

AquaVolume running im my pc but I can't use cause I don't find what key in my spanish keyboard is "-" and "=" in US keyboard.

Help please!! :(

Yes indeed! I'm using the Pro Keyboard, the Pro Mouse, Pro Speakers (connected to Powerwave external amp), and one day when I have $3500 to blow, I will have the Cinema Display HD.

Of course, I also plan to have a Mac as soon as I can. Can't wait.

.... I think is better to buy a mac, and emulate windows, instead of "wasting" money in mac hardware to be used on pc.

just my point of view, im not attacking those that make it.

#10063

Keys????

why not right-click option w/ mouse

#10071

hey jef, im using a mac keyboard on the PC, so i was wondering if its possible to make the volume keys working.

i ask that cause in a weird way, the mac keyboard's volume keys actually DO change the volume. So hope it is doable to implement them into this sweet appli.

the only problem I see is that only the keys next to the backspace key work... I use the keypad + and - most of the time. The position of it is too centered. the one in OSX is off center towards the bottom. Centered horizontally but not vertically. i get the white corners too. great idea.
