Hey,
I have seen peoples websites where they have a flash video or a animated icon like the status bar on the old aqua-soft home page a while back. I was wondering if anybody knew where i could find php (i guess they are php) scripts like throbbers, animated mac icons, a dock for the website. I need a little help, im not to good with websites yet

definately not php. php has nothing to do with fancy stuff like that. Think of php as more of a database type thing.
Search google and software sites for things that make flash. There are some that are very easy to use. I know Coffeecup makes a product that's pretty simple. As for other thing's, you'd still need the graphics, and some DHTML(?) code to make it happen.

you don't need all these fancy things you hear about.
flash is all you should need, and search google for like DHTML menus or something.. you could probably piece together something ok.

Huh? Are talking about an animated GIF because that is what I got from the description.
If you are going to use flash, i suggest you make your whole page in flash. It just looks weird with small flash-animations here and there on your page.
I personally hate flash "intros" but maybe you could have a cool link on your front page so people would have the option of seeing it. I know personally that the majority of people skip the intros given the option.
Now, if you did the whole site in flash than that's sort of a different story...
If you havent got so much experience with making web-pages, i suggest you use regular HTML, and maybe some css for the visuel stuff. If you want to have a very dynamical page, with lots of things moving, it will just take lots of time, and you'l need to work hard to get a nice looking site. Believe me, i've tried it
