All hail ICEMAN!!! :) :)

Truly a legend,... however I have a question.

Sometimes I run with the windows taskbar NOT in "always on top mode", i.e. when I maximize a windows (say explorer) it maximises to the size of the full screen. I.e. hiding the taskbar.

Problem is in this mode the top left and top right corners of that maximised window are square..

Not the cool rounded edges of the taskbar.

Any solution? It would be cool to keep the rounded edges look.

Thanks man, you da man.

Do not know this is a fix or not. But the problem I faced with incomplete text on button when using Iceman's VS seems have disappear. I tweaked the default font of XP (MS Sans Serif & Tahoma) using registry. Seems like the button become longer, but it nice.

Can you post a screenshot of that?

I would like to see it since i prefer the xp default fonts too.

I can't remember which part of windows actually using sans serif or tahoma font. There are some part where XP will use default font regardless of the VS font. Maybe you can point out any part of windows which using XP default font so that I can take a screenshot of it.

You won't notice much difference, since I replaced it with Lucida Grande font with the same size as the original default font (maybe 8). But it quite nice. :)

Iceman... Just loaded your VS... Nice Work.

As for the glaring white background on the menus, go into the appreance tab and click on the advanced button.

Once your there, click on the OK button in the preview window, this should show 3D Objects in the Item: drop down menu.

Select Color 1: and change to whatever color you want.

This will fix the glaring white background on the menus.

Very nice update! I've been using the brushed style for a while now, and I really like it. :D

Just a couple of requests for the next release, maybe?

1. Seperator on start menu between pinned and frequently used items. Also a seperator where it should be on the right side of the start menu as well.

2. Highlight explorer buttons on mouse over. I'm not sure if you left this out for the authentic Mac feel since I don't own a Mac, but it was worth a mention anyway. B)

Again, very nice work!

Thank you !! Thank you!! Thank you !!

That solution was exactly what I was looking for and now I can use Iceman's VS .. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Another quibble (!) .. I notice that some of the objects in Iceman's theme are larger than necessary ... especially the tabs in Properties Panel, the buttons in dialog boxes etc ...

I am sure there must be something I can do to "fix" this ?!!

Thanks in advance!

ps. (cut and paste to view)Here is the screenshot

Is this the way it looks for all of you too ? If not, please tell me what I can do to fix it :

The sub-menus are shaded a different color (purple) and not the regular blue. Here is a screenshot (cut-n-paste OR drag-n-drop) :

As for the tabs and dialog buttons, I have looked at the shellstyle.dll and they are coded to use a 15 point font.

This can be fixed very easily. Just use ResHacker to edit the dll. I have changed them to a 9 point font and it looks pretty cool now. Maybe not Aqua accurate, but what the hell... it's my PC.

Maybe Iceman can make the modifications to the VS and redistribute.

I love this VS... I have made a few minor changes to the dll for personal preferences, but I will not post them anywhere as this is not cool for me to do so.

I'll leave that for Iceman to decide. ;)
