iTalk for AIM... coming soon/eventually? :)

Just curious to see if iTalk will be available for AIM soon or eventually? I don't have any friends on MSN messenger, so I have no use for it right now... I do love the look of iChat though. I'll help out with making iTalk work for AIM if I can. I have a good background in programming and all that... I'm sure AOL's AIM servers aren't THAT complicated to negotiate a connection on

what's so hard about logging on to the AIM oscar servers? i don't mean that to sound condescending in any way... i really don't know anything about them

This was asked about in the old forums.

I'll answer it again for Jef as I did b4.

iTalk is a beta, first and foremost. That pretty much ends the story...or at least one would think. The option to use other clients is implemented in iTalk, but the feature is disabled until the app reaches a higher beta status. Jef needs time and input to work out the bugs.

Until then, you'll just have to wait for AIM, Yahoo or ICQ support. It would be illogical for him to add other Chat client protocols b4 he is even finished with the base app.

Be patient. OS X wasnt built in a day either.
