Well, I personally don't own an ipod but maybe some of you will appreciate this. Honestly, I haven't even read the whole thing but I think it's about replacing the battery in an ipod and some other ipod tips and tricks. Anyway, these pages are page 93 and 94 in the March 2004 edition of the Popular Science magazine. If you like what you see, buy it!

From what I understand to open the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen iPods is to wedge it open as in the article. For the miniPod, you need to heat the bottom because the closure is glued to the metal case. I don't know if I would want to put high heat next to a miniPod if I bought one. Paying $250, there is a line. Unfortunatley, it's about 2 mm away from the base.
