Yes, people do...it has one of the most tighnit, helpful and, most important, FRIENDLY skinning communities that I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
One other thing:
It doesn't matter how long a product takes to get developed, only how much better it gets during it's development. Trust me, the future is gonna be awesome for Sonique 2.

I am learning MML now and I have to say it is VERY, VERY powerful. If you like to skin, you owe it to yourself to give S2 and the Mantis language a try.

I use to use Sonique, and then iTunes for Windows was released.
i didn't mean to sound like a jerkhead.
I just didn't know that many people on here used it. I've never seen any aquaesk skins released for it, or maybe I just don't pay attention.
me? I still use WA 2.9, shows what I know.
ya the skinning engine is so nice
if i believe correctly it uses .psd files
and god knows you can do just about anything graphically with photoshop

Actualy i think if someone made a skin for it, it would be one heck of a skin. Sonique was what i used before i discoverd QCD (only cause it had an itunes skin) which i used before iTunes for windows got released. They had some realy great completly unique skins for it.

It has been a beta for over two years now... Development team has changed so often that I did not believe they would actually finish Sonique2. Seems like they are back on track again
