you know, i have heard smart comments by that before...and i typed in "bigger icons" and **gasp** guess what. Got nowhere! Why do you think I asked in the boards. Don't you think I have gotten flamed enough times in here that I wouldn't have figured that out by now?
Bigger than what size?
As a starting point, if you right click your desktop>properties>appearance>advanced and under item select icon. It gives you the option for the size you want them at. It will will only go up to 72, but there is a settting in the registry that will allow to make them as large as 128.

Mac OSX Icon SizesEver wanted your Windows shell to look similar to a Mac OSX? Changing the icon size will add that final touch.
Mac OSX has a max size of 128x128 icons. (Windows Max: 72x72).
1°) Open Registry Editor.
2°) Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER
3°) Then expand Control Panel.
4°) Then expand Desktop.
5°) Then expand Windows Metrics
6°) Select the Shell Icon Size key.
7°) Right click Shell Icon Size and select Modify.
8°) Then type 128 in the box, and there you go.

Unzip, apply this and restart. Instant 128x128 icons.
PS instead of 'bigger icons' did you try 'big icons' or 'large icons' or '128 icons' or anything like that, too?

You can also use desktopx Changing the regestery will change ALL the windows icons in my computer and the start menu, you might not want that. With desktopx you can set to only big icons on the desktop, plus add some cool zooming effects and whatnot.

yeah, and remember you have no idea what this person does and doesnt know. SO telling him to go fukk with the registry isnt the wisest thing in the world. Jieuns approach was better, at least the mistake factor is gone
not bad, but i stopped at modding the bitmaps.
