Hi there,

Has anyone experience this, when accessing any webpage that has Java Applet embedded, everything is blinking. The taskbar, the dock, window, desktop calendar etc etc. It happen only after I skin my windows.

I'm using

Yz Shadow

Please reply if you know how to get over this or experience any of this. Thanks :P

I get that also when accessing *anything* Java except JavaScript.

The screen starts flashing like my PC is on hardcore crack!

I'm not sure what's doing it and I have tried to trace it down.

im not very sure, but i think that happens too if you are using quicktime in a webpage. I think it is when you use Sun's Java plugin, but if you use microsoft virtual machine, it wont blink. Im not very sure of that.

Transparent stuff in XP\2k use a special overlay mode. Kind of like video. I think the java or quicktime or dvd's using hardware motion compensation try to use the same function and that conflicts.

In quicktime it seems to go away when you put the video options in "safe mode".

The java thing happens to me when I use sun's java.

when I tried to remove the integration of sun's java jvm with browser, and use the microsoft jvm, the blinking is reduced to only application like Yz shadow, yz dock and the desktop calendar. less blinking. is there any way to totally remove the blinking ? <_

I had to remove it completely here because it kept on forcing it'self when opening a page with java.

I've seen that with all VB programs I use on here when I am on the internet... *shrugs* All I have running always on top is my dock so I just autohide it when it starts doin it...

I haven't had it happening with a visual basic program, yet.

I believe I had the same trouble with sun's Java, but it was a while ago so can't say for sure.
