[release] My Wallpaper + Samurize Config

well after seeing the soundbox and some nice slick wallpapers on the feb desktop thread - i just slapped this together - using the wallpaper i had and samurize to incorporate the moving speakers

just to note that the speakers move while maintaining my original desktop wallpaper lol

if anyone wants the wall + my samurize config them give me a shout - shouts out to the original author of this wallpaper - link posted someplace on this forum i think or over at aquaXp.com ( i cant remember now ) and to the person who made soundbox for winamp ( samurise plugin for the inspiration )

original wallpaper was / is included in a zip called spake-2 no sure who the author is or where i got it from now but i have posted a link to it from my site

That's amazing, I would love to see a gif or some kind of animation of this in action, though it's pretty easy to imagine. Great idea. Big big thumbs up.

okay ive packed the file ( at least i think ive included all the info )

please note tho guys that this was just intended as something personal to start off with - so the Graphics on the samurize config is a little rough - and when you first start off the config included you will have to align it to the included wallpaper. (blend it in / overlay it )

It is only really intended for use with this wallpaper (looks dumb with any other)

1024x768 only at this point - i can make other screen res - if needed although im sure the skills on here you could make your own.

For those with better photoshop skills im sure you could tidy it up so you could place it anywhere on the desktop. or you could see what it looks like just by using the speaker anims and remove the background in the config.

only really took me 15 mins or so.

please feel free to modify it to hell and back lol .

wish i knew who did the original wall - ( although it was available for download someplace - i will see if i can track it down again ) until then ive posted a link to my samurize config - hopefully i wont tread on anyones toes with this one and the author will give me permission before its to late .

okay ive got some more info lol

i found out that the author of this awesome wallpaper is colossus72 over at customize.org .. i have sent him a mail to as permission include the wallpaper in with the file so hopefully he wont mind and all will be well.

just to clear up a few things

samurize 1.25 is used

winamp5 pro is used - ( obviously you have to start the samurize visualization or you wont see anything)

and that should be it - along with my config of course.

start up samurize . load the speaker.ini config into your client.

start up winamp5 =- select your funky tunes - start playing and start the samurize visualization ( plugin ) shrink down winamp and watch the speakers.

maybe due to the size of the png files - i should be able to change it - i`ll take a look and see what i can do im currently running on a AthlonXp 2200+ 512mb ram Gforce FX gfx card seems to work fine for me tho.

That's sweet!! Just made my own version from the black wall. Not finished yet tho, gonna change it so the right speaker reacts to the right channel, left to the left and the subs react to the low frequencys, by setting the plugin alert to spectrumband instead of VU.

Well I think I'm going to hide myself ^^ I'm running a Athlon XP 3000+, 512 MB RAM und a old GeForce 2 Pro, but my cpu usage is about 90% but I think I can't resize it because it looks that great. :lol:

well ive done a 1024 black version will all speakers on the main speaker moving - resized it and it doesnt need the wallpaper anymore ...
