[help] A Recommended Icon Program?

What's a good program to work with icons?

Right now, I'm just looking for one to extract the icons from system files so I can dump them into an icons folder for one of these docking programs. I've seen program names used: IconWorkshop, Microangelo, IconDeveloper... There's probably more.

Only thing is, I have no idea which one to use. May I have the community's input? :)

Thanks.

You can use Resource Hacker to extract the icons. I like Axialis IconWorkshop for converting images to icons.

uhhmmmmm he said to work with icons, I assume that means creating icons.....so IconPackager won't do. I'd recommend Axialis IconWorkshop.

Thanks - I'll try IconWorkshop.

I used IconPackager from Stardock but it was horrible - it replaced too many things and destroyed my desktop icon layout. :( Is GUIreplacer better somehow...?
