ok i have gotten some new mac icons and they are in .rsc format/ when i click on them the open iconworkshop and then it closes right back down. when i explore to them in iws i see them but they have an "X" over the little iws icon. how i can fix this or is there something else that i can opne them in.
the 2 packs that i have are Apple iLife 2004 and Excellence Collection.

Nope. All the icons I convert have the .rsc extension, and it works (originally have the .rsrc extension, but I rename them to .rsc).
ok i tired renaming them and still have the same problem. i wonder if its the files them selves. man i want these icons too.

Rename the rsc to icns ie: ...*.rsrc to ...*.icns...you should be able to see these in Iconworkshop...I can... mind you I'm not using a Mac.
If you've got these icons in a package...there may a problem there.
I'm not keen on distributing Mac icons to windows or the other way around because of permissions...I've gotten into trouble already on this and I want to stay in the forum!

i have tried to remember where i got these sets to try and red/l them to see if that helps, but with no luck. i have tried the renameing gig and everything else that i can think of but still closing out secs after opening. i dont even get to see what the icons look like thats how fast it closes out.
