[request] - Os X Font Conversion

People who have downloaded Myriad Pro before (from Ernst Vikne's .Mac site), he's updated his site with a replacement; Myriad Apple. The (edited Myriad) font that Apple uses for adverts/etc. But the .SIT file won't extract properly. I emailed him with the problem and he sent the files unstuffed, but they just appear as .DAT files and won't work or convert with any available program. Rather than bug him again, I thought to ask here..

Will someone with OS X kindly download the Myriad Apple font, convert them to a Windows compatable version and then post a download link?

I find it interesting that you just provided links for everything you'd need to do the conversion yourself! Anyway, I can assume that you didn't realize and I downloaded the .sit and did the conversion for ya. Cheers

Thanks alot, but I did try. Whenever I (or people I asked) unstuffed the files they always come out as 0kb files, corrupt or just didn't unstuff.

The .Mac sent me the files but they appeared as .DAT files for me and wouldn't convert.

try unstuffing them individually

sometimes when you try to unstuff a whole archive at once with StuffIt, the program does that 0kb thing

i find that if i chose each file individually, it works better

also, make sure you have the LATEST build of StuffIt or it may not work properly

lastly, make sure you are downloading/recieving the right file. Mac files need to be intact (they contain a data fork AND a resource fork)

without the resource, you get 0kb files

It did unstuff four total files.. Two were 0kb. The other two were the ones I

converted to .ttf and BINGO. There they were.

The fonts on Ernst Vikne's are Open Type font. They should work in WinXP. They do for me, at least the Myriad Pro does.
