Connecting Macs And Pcs To The Net

I am interested in buying a Mac.

The funds are sitting in my acct, and I have found a good deal on eBay.

I have two pcs one a laptop (wireless) and one a desktop (wired) to a Netgear G Router. What do I have to do to get a desktop mac to connect wirelessly to the net along with the PC?

Thanks,

JDP

i have never tried to connect wirelessly a mac to a pc, i have tough connected them trough wires and i can tell you i had never seen anything as easy as that.

Given the ease of connection that i have experienced, i am sure that airport/airport extreme connections to wifi networks will be easy too.

Sorry i couldnt give you any technical comments on this.

It's all TCP/IP.

Wired or Wireless, it's all the same.

If you want your Mac to talk to your PC and vice versa, just enable Windows sharing in OS X and use an SMB:// connection from the Mac to your PC.

Internet is nothing big at all... if you get your IP's via DHCP from your ISP, just plug the Mac in... your done. Otherwise, setup DHCP on your router and have it assign them. It all works pretty much the same.
