This plugin for messenger plus! (make sure you hav that first) works.
Set it up for winamp, it works fine
What is it about old Winamp that allows songs to be displayed with MSN, instead of any other player out there. I am curious, it doesn't sound like such a strange thing to be able to accomplished for any player. An iTunes tweak for MSN names would be pretty sweet. Winamp is too aggravating to deal with. I prefer the simplicity and usability of iTunes.

iTunes should be recognized as WinAmp with my plug-in installed

yes but only for wmp....btw no-one use messenger plus! trust me it's spyware....stay away from it...
it is spyware. i used it before. and there's this cool program that removes all ads and enhances your msn messenger, but the catch is that it's full of virus, trojans, and it messed up my computer and it was USELESS!

Um... when i play songs in iTunes with MSN 7 running it does display the song i'm playing. I don't have any plug-ins installed either. Maybe it depends on what your default music player is or something i dunno. All i know is its working for me right now!
my itunes works as well with 7 and no plugin
you using the multiplugin?....that might be it....set it to recognise itunes as winamp...that might also be it...but on the other hand i only though it worked for windows media player

MSN Messenger recognises iTunes automatically when i turn on "What i'm Listening to". I'm running version 7.0 (Bulid 7.0.0813).
