Yes, there are registry tricks. Yet, It varries from every version of Windows/IE browser.
I've done it times before, but I forget. Try doing a search in google.

As matter of fact there is but there is a drawback
Start>run>regedit>
navigate to \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5b4dae26-b807-11d0-9815-00c04fd91972}]
rename {5b4dae26-b807-11d0-9815-00c04fd91972}]to
{-5b4dae26-b807-11d0-9815-00c04fd91972}]
see the line in front of the 5
now reboot ur pc
****DRAWBACK*** for some reason it disables the START button on ur taksbar .remember to just remove the - (line) from the key just to go back to use ur START button ,I 've tried to mess with this to see if I can get the start button to work ,but Imjust not good with uderstanding the hex code if anybody is good enough maybe they should give it a try just select the key and export to desktop or something.

Another way to get rid of the menu bar (originally for IE but there are other menu's in "browselc.dll" and I think one is for explorer. I don't feel like testing the other menu now so you're on your own. Ohh and it doesn't break the start button.
Easy, use Resource Hacker to delete it.
Load up "browselc.dll"
Just go under "Menu"
Then "267"
Then right click on "1033"
and then "Delete Resource [Menu : 267 : 1033]"
When you start up IE it kinda looks messed up but it fixes itself.
Just tried it and it works without any problem, so far.
Ohh and make sure you backup the file first, just incase.
Goku informed me that objectbar has options that hides these menus. And I was so pleased to find out
right click on the objectbar, click on properties. when the new window opens, click on File>General options... and when the diologue appears... under extra features tab, make sure the 'hide menus of applications..." box is checked. Also check 'moveable menus' to ensure all the menus are gone.
There we go! your xp machine is now even closer to macOSX!
All we need is windowsblinds to be able to fully skin windows, and we're all set

My method is for those who don't have object bar.
But can you still use the menu's? eg by pressing Alt+F for the file menu? that would rock!
mguiddy I like that resourse hacker way !COOL! now if anybody knows how to get UR bookmarks to show is there any windows shortcut? I know ctrl+b is to edit but how bout so u can choose ur bookmarks and go to ur favorite places?

Yeah! It works. (only if you can remember all the letters to press with the alt key)
But beyond that, both ways work (OB and REG)

This is by far some of the best information I found in a long time. I've searched for the answer to this before but I guess I wasn't searching for quite the right thing.
Now I just need to find a windowblinds theme that looks good. As nice as Judge's OSXP theme is, I hate the fact that it says OSXP on it and I don't like the start menu. If there was a theme like Iceman's Jaguar Visual Style 2.0 but for WindowBlinds, then I'd be extremely happy.
hey flyakite, why dont you just use icemans visual style theme! Ever thought of that? Its very good. Hands down to iceman. Why use another seperate program to skin windows when you have one already built in that doesnt take up any resources?! It looks awsome.

Actually Jmitch I am using Iceman's theme and have been for a long time and have even contacted him before. I originally was looking for a good WindowBlinds theme because I like how the max, min, close buttons were on the left and the rollup button was on the right.
I decided not to use WindowBlinds because the skins don't work well all the time and eats resources and can be buggy. I only like it because the rollup feature works so well. I'm using a program called FreeShade right now to roll up windows on right clicking but it doesn't work perfectly on all windows, like Yahoo! Messenger chat windows and hasn't been updated in at least a year.
Oh I see. Well then you agree with me. Windowblinds aren't good because they eat up resources. Yes iceman's theme is great isn't it? The max/min/close buttons are a minor drawback. I can live with them on the right, even though they are supposed to be on the left. They look exactly the the same on either side. Yes the roll button would be nice, but it's a small advantage for eating up those precious resources and having a buggy gui! 
Eh.. sorry.. I'm using WB and i don't have those problems you are mentioning.... and.. i used iceman visual style(which is very good, awesome in deed) and i don't see any diference in speed or performance....
Now WB is getting better... and it will skin everything very soon...!! 
Hey guys, I'm having a huge problem here. I read this thread seeing that I could rid myself of that ugly, putrid windows menubar at the top of every application window. I was so glad. This is a huge step in making windows looking more towards a mac, because obviously macs dont have those stupid menubars at the top of their applications. Instead they place them conveniently in their finderbar. Whichever application is selected, that is what will go in the finderbar. This is what I am trying to accomplish and I know it can be done. I am using ObjectBar so I first went for the setting within ObjectBar to hide application menus. The problem is I don't have the full version so that didn't help. (Stinkin StarDock)So then I went to my next option, the registry tweak. Thank you to whoever submmitted that, it worked beautifully. But there was a problem. See, I need those menus, whether they look ugly or not, we all use them, they are an important part of every application. The plan was that the objectbar (the finderbar) would still display the correct menus for that application that I had selected, just like in a Mac. But unfortunately, that did not happen. After making the registry tweak, objectbar would no longer display the menu bar for the applications. It did do this before the registry tweak though. So now I have no menu bar in my applications, but also none in the finderbar where they should be. I have a feeling the only way to get past this, is to order objectbar and use their built in option. I hope that is not the only way! I would really like to save $20. If anyone has accomplished what I have described, would they please, help me out. Pleeeeaasssse!!!
