Well WB is very sluggish on my PC...I gave it up <_
It runs just fine on my PC, it'd be nice if you gave specifics. Like what else do you have running, etc. You might also want to e-mail support@stardock.com or something.
Window blinds 3.x series used to run like garbage, but the 4.x series runs as smothe as any VS. So if your still running 3.x you should upgrade.
Weird... I run WB and OB et al and my average CPU usage is down at like 7%.... So no problems there. Like lostspyder said.. if it's 3.x you're on.. change. Otherwise... no clue.

I run WB 4. Have a P4 with 384 mb. I Haven't had any issues with other apps.
Also make sure you are not rinning an Win9X OS... those OSes willl not run WB well at all... hell there's not much that they run well...
I have been a big supporter of WB since the 3 series and have been using 4 since it was introduced.
I have figured out the WB performance soley depends on the skin that is being used. Poorly coded themes absolutly use a lot of system resources, while a great theme like Xero's OS X theme using almost next to nothing. At the moment, WB is using only 2 MB of RAM on my system.
My advice is to try a different theme and see how it goes.

And just a side note, as I like to have geek pride. someone mentioned they've been a supporter since the 3.0 days. I remember b2 when Neil was writing it by himself without any stardock affiliation. I even hosted the first ever windowblinds skin site. same nick then. i believe it was wbskins.8m.com or something along those lines. maybe wblinds.8m.com ... them were the days.
