Those look nice, I have questions though. KDX can't have transparency to make a rounded titlebar? And is there a aqua one (jaguar and panther)?

I was thinking of doing Smooth Stripes. Right now I am waiting for Good Grey and Digital Device because those will probably be my new favorite visual styles.

and there are a lot of panther/aqua skins floating around. I'm not sure if any of them are up to par for you guys here though.

i may sound like a "stinkin' ****ie" but what exactly is kdx. those screenies look like a mac, btw (but then again i think they are supposed to, are they not?) but anyway wgat is it?

it is a client/server program a lot like Hotline (if you remember/used that program).

you download the client, get a tracker address, connect to the tracker, find a server you like, then download files. for more features lists:

KDX is Windows and Mac compatible and soon will be Linux compatible.

Also, KDX is 128-bit encrypted, so everything that happens on a server is encrypted so spying eyes cannot see what is going on. If you are transferring a file through KDX, and your ISP or someone looks at it, they will not be able to see what you are transferring.

on another note, here is what I have planned for the next versions of my already-released appearances:

CelShaded:

not much, unless you guys have anything to suggest.

Milk Redux:

I am going to add the Milk OSX icons. they will replace the default icons on the main button bar. (connect, address book, commands, etc.)

Aluminum Alloy:

going to add OSX icons

and I will port the other color schemes of the AA series

Voodoo:

going to port the other 2 or 3 colors (like red, green, etc)

Cubed:

Going to port a few of the other color schemes in the visual style, like Light Blue, and some others.

also, what iconset would match cube the best?

looks great, abbazabba. i guess maybe the orbital iconset would look nice with this... darkened up a bit? or just used recolored default aqua icons?

Hey AbbaZaba,

As you know, the KDX default appearance has just one button (minimize only) on the 'button bar'. You've probably already tried this, but in order to avoid the overlap problem in the title bar with AA, can you remove the two functionless buttons on *just* that panel and stretch the sunken portion of the title bar? Maybe then the KDX logo and 'KDX' text will fit nicely inside that sunken portion of the bar. Anyway, I'm also hereby requesting a port of ProPlastic and / or Smoothstripes. And, did you get the permissions from Max? Very cool stuff, very cool indeed.

yep, I just got permission from Max to release Aluminum Alloy.

AppearanceEdit does not allow you to specify a different Frame for the main button bar on KDX. all the windows use the same frame bitmap. if I made the disabled buttons invisible, and shortened that metal part of the titlebar, when the buttons came back, they would overlap that. Trust me I've tried. It won't work.
