[release] Fontbrowser

Just like apple's fontBook (well a little different) but with the abilities to be skinned to your windows style, window blinds style, etc.

Expect more functionality like actual "fontBooks" to store fonts in and much much more. Not much I know but hey its a font browser, what more can you want.

Well , off course that easy to suggest, but you told us about it.

The real FontBook can activate and desactivate fonts in OSX. This means that you can have installed on your system a huge number of fonts, but desactivating the ones you don´t uses, the system don´t have to load all installed ones with every program.

For designer´s , skinners, and some others here, this kind of apps is very usefull. At least for me, that use a lot of fonts, but some of that I uses not much. Install and uninstall fonts sucks, so an OSX app that lets us activate will be amazing.

I have a suggestion but it can be done when you finish the app. My suggestion was to make a cool icon for the application. That's all.

Great app but I'll ask one thing if possible, being able to change the caption fron fontbrowser to whatever. I think all skinnable apps should have that and a way to change sys tray icons but thats asking alot.I did change your icon with eXescope but couldnt get to the dialog.Thanks fro a great app

Some of the fonts dont display...

Other than that, no problems.

Actually, the only one I have run across is Apple Garamond.

Ya im having problems with Wingdings and Webdings. Wierd, well this is stil 1st release of version 1 so expect bugs.

1) it doesnt like apple garamond, and some of the arel(sp ehh?) variants, it just shows the last font selected when i choose them

2) Doest skin well with brushed panther WB4 theme. Its not realy the apps fault tho.

3) when i scroll down and back up i get this. (look down)

Other then that its realy nice. I like the slider on the right, and its great for choosing a font for something your doing, soemthing that would be normaly tedious double clicking.

Ability to change the font the application is using and the icon would be appreciated. The font as of now looks crappy.

Is it possible to make a decent icon (such as 128x128 32bit colour) for it? I want to put to my dock!

By the way, does anyone have the Apple FontBook icon? :rolleyes:
