Damn, You! Firebird

:rant:

I just realized that Firebird acts as stupid as Internet Explorer. I have four partitions, one of them with enough room to download a big file. I click and save the file in that partition, but instead of saving it directly there, Firebird downloads it to it's cache then copies it to the right place! So after a hundred Mb i always get a message saying "you dont have enough room to save it". Doh!

How can i make it download the file directly to the right place??? :nuts:

Try this. clikky clikky for the actual page.

Or just see here. :lol:

To specify in which folder the cache is stored, add the following code to your user.js file:

// Path to Cache folder:

user_pref("browser.cache.disk.parent_directory","C:\\Path To Cache");

Remember to use two backslashes for the path separators if you're using Windows, e.g. C:\\Path\\Path To Cache instead of C:\Path\Path To Cache.

Or you can always do the change through the extension named Preferential. Download from the Mozilla Firebird extensions page. ;)

Hope that helps. ^_^
