Forums will go down tomorrow some time, they will not be down but for 30 min at the most, I am going to be doing some cleanup and fix permissions for all the forums.
Also am going to setup a temp mainpage and add some new staff.
Any comments or suggestions you think I MUST do tomorrow please feel free to post here.
can you take off this contributor badge? its pretty useless and i dont want/need any sort of pitty. thanks tim!

I dont even use the main page, I just view the forum via my forum links and click View New to view new posts.

:shy: I use the main page all the time! it's the briefest MoSt mOsT efficient way of seeing whats up!! plz keep it!! i will lick your houses clean for a month! (SARS and any other diseases and infections resulting from this service is not of my responsibility)
oh and i wanted to express my reaction to the speed of the forums/A-S in general
WHAT SORTA SERVERS U GUYS ON!! its blazing fast!!! it adds to the authenticity of the site and further-more makes u feel like never leaving!!

oh and the forums are awesome, the greatest crowd of peeps a community could have. though i do wish for the community not to get TOO big, like whats happened with Suprnova, chaos takes over and things start fallin apart! At the same time the growth is absolutely positive!

I had plans on getting this up today.
But of course there were and are problems. For one the design I had in mind is starting to look like crap, and feel cluttered.
So theres a very small chance it will be up today. If not the earliest will be Monday.

I'd be glad to help out in any way I can with this man... I've been around here for a while now and know how things work, and I know a fair amount about IPB as well... if you're still looking for new staff to replace those who decided to call it a day... I would be honoured to help... Credentials speak for themselves (writer for leading computer magazine in UK, also work at a design agency... ) and I'm pretty good on the rules... hell I never even told *quack quack* to F*ck off when he was being irritating :rant:
I guess I would just love to start putting back more to the community I love... (and if you need any help on teh CMS side of things I've been working on that kinda thing alot lately...

Have been working a lot with a CMS called Mambo Open Source which caught my attention a while back when I was looking around trying to decide what system to run my upcoming skin downloads site on. Its PHP/mySQL based, but as opposed to a nasty *nuke system which always look the same, this one can be moulded pretty much any way you want, with minimal coding. It's reliable and easy, and I like using it. I've been messing with templates and fiddling around with various components for it, download systems and news management etc... It's all good fun
Anyway... I'm really glad to have your endorsement Stevie You're a much respected mod and I admire your dedication to the community we have here... It's just a bit of a shame we lost so many of the "old" crew from the mod list... I guess life kinda takes over sometimes!
