Mac Os X Chess Port To Windows?

Is there a port of Mac OS X Chess for Windows? The company's GNU Chess, isn't it? Or does a Windows port exist?

OSX chess is a relic from it's NeXTSTEP roots. So.... I doubt there is a relation to GNU Chess unless GNU chess was based on NeXTSTEP chess.

Oh yeah, BTW, there isn't a windows port of OSX Chess as far as I know. I'm taking a look though. GNU Chess looks nothing like OSX Chess, the closest I could find to it is this: http://cinag.sourceforge.net/cinag-en/download.shtml That was doing a quick search on google.

there's actually an old thread about this in the forums(i'm too lazy to search)

with links to a fairly good chess prog. that isn't free. The main competitor to them also has a good prog. Unfortunately, both are windowed(it'd be nice to just have the 3d chess board on your screen with minimal extra pap). at least one of them had really nice effects, and skinnable(somehow) pieces and boards.

sorry, no names, i'm lazy and don't have them installed anymore because they were warez and hence teh evil(a virus installed them).

hmm, opensource and chess, sounds like a good combo.

But the OS X Chess isnt true 3D is it? Isn't it just a render? (I'm too lazy to boot up my powerbook. )

no, it's not true 3d..

Well it is from NeXT after all (and I'm suprised they didn't update it). I when looking was thinking of it's look and the one I found was not too bad.
