Aim Mod Ichat

Well I was gonna wait till Otsego (its was a free AIM addon like deadaim)but that failed to come out. So I decided to go ahead and do the mod of the newest AIM beta (5.5 3553). I took alot of bitmaps here and there and incorperated them all into this fine mod. Heres a list of the changes. 1) New logon picture. 2) ad removed. 3) New buddylist bitmaps (away, mobile, sign on/off). 4) New buttons (IM, chat, write etc). :rock:

I apologize for not posting a screenshot. I dont own a website which kinda limits me to post mods such as this one for the public. :rant:

That is awesome for all those aim users who have been waiting for this mod long ago. I remember someone started something like this for aim but was never finished on aquaxp. Even though i gave up on aim for trillian. Ill have to give it a go. Still needs some work, but good for a first attempt. Good work Mouse my thanks to you (Y)

awesome job so far on it I have been trying to do this as well when I have had some free time but I could never get the .bmps to match up correctly. If you want I could send you some of the ichat button .bmps that I was planning on putting in AIM and you could give them a try.

you need to download the same version as AIM as him.

I HATE AIM, has anyone heard the commercials on it. My brother uses it and just having it on my PC makes me want to curl up in a little ball and sob becuase the next step companys are taking in annoying people is putting stupid commercials on the internet.

Great job though! The images are choppy but all is good, nice job man.

Can you make a version for the latest official version(not the latest beta) or tell me what I have to do to get it work for the latest official version. I don't like dealing with aim betas, they don't seem to work well for me.

the way I have been going about doing it is just opening the right aim .dll in reshacker and replacing the appropriate bitmaps

cool, I cant figure out how to show the status icons next to each buddy on the buddylist like the sample image shows. Any ideas?
