I'm looking for the heavenly Mac OS Classic startup sound. Do you know where I can find it? Thanks.
Mac Os Classic Startup Sound
ohh that would be sexy
go to win2mac.aqua-soft.org and download the program macvision. it comes with 2 or 3 old mac startup sounds. my old mac has an old one, though and i would ask brian4ever to put it on win2mac but my pc has a dead hdd and all i have left is my mom's computer with bad sound card drivers (i recently downloaded beos personal edition (no it isn't warez. personal edition is free) and the card worked there) but fyi my mac is REALLY OLD and the startup bell well... doesn't sound like a bell. it sounds uh... like a gong. but you can get other sounds such as the imac (slot and tray loading and i never heard the flat screen's sound but maybe that too) and the quadra
EDIT: i remembered the other sound. it is the powerpc upgrade sound that you get if you upgrade your mac to a powerpc (i hate it to be honest.) btw if you decide to use macvision rather than just downloading it, the make windows look like a mac thing doesn't work right if you have ie 4 or higher (or was it ie5) (that means all you windows 98+ or if it is ie5 then all you win98se+ people are out of luck. it says it still works on mspaint, notepad, etc. but in xp it doesn't work at all (except on the buttons which look correct sometimes) oh and macvision itself looks right no matter what os you have.
That's awesome. Thanks!

Thanks Zone (Y)

Actually, the startup sound when you first turn on most Mac's hasn't changed in like 15 years.
It's in the ROM, not the OS.
