ok - I'm at work now and can't complete any more processes till I get home. But I was wondering, when everything gets done, can one save the folder to a cd just in case my HDD would crash (god, let's hope not) and just install it again and everything will come up okay? Or would I need to go through 'each' step of reinstallation again? ANyone know?

I think not. There are a few folders which are located in different locations, and these folders are named differently on different systems. So, that means lots of complications if you really want to do what you hope to be able to.

It'll definitely be much simpler to go through the entire process again. It's pretty straight forward. Great tutorial by Stevie and Anarchi5t. ;) Do it once and you'd get the hang of it.

Good luck.

 I don't think you're supposed to unzip the .jar file. You're supposed to download brand.dtd (which you have done) and replace the one with the same filename in the .jar.

See if that works. ;)

#109383

so how can i replace the brand.dtd file when it's zipped? grrrr - i'm getting aggrivated

#109384

also, the brand.dtd is saving as a txt file - is this right?

#109387

Relax...

You need to open the .jar file with WinRAR. Then you can browse through the folders in its zipped form. Just find the file brand.dtd and replace it with the one you downloaded. And no, it's not a .txt file. It's as it is. Simply brand.dtd. ;)
