Two things:

1) "software" doesn't narrow your request down any more.

I don't think a lot of programs support Mac OS 8.1 anymore, why don't you upgrade to at least Mac OS 9.2.2?

Uh, your best bet is to go on eBay then, since anything really useful for OS 8 will probubly not be freeware/shareware.
