ive been having problems with ishuts config it shows:

Run-time error '339'

Component 'comctl32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Sounds like you need the Visual Basic Runtime files...this is of course if you're on XP?

A simple google search would have turned up your answer.

If i do this will it be permanent? and will it work with visual basic 08?

Although I'm not running VB 08 I've got the components going back into the nineties without any conflicts.

So, there shouldn't be any problems because of MS's naming conventions. There's no guarantee...oh and also that's just the link to the controls. You're probably better to get to get the actual runtime

If you extracted them to your system folder then they should be registered.

If they aren't look for an app called regsvr.exe or regsvr32.exe. Then drag the *.ocx files on to it to register them.

One quick question, when ever shut down my computer with iShut, everything is fine untill i log back on and it wants me to restore my active background. its a little anoying. please help.

It's a four year old program so, I'm not sure. With some work probably? But, based on the questions you've asked probably not.

FYI there's two other newer programs out there MacShut or iMacShut search the forums, deviantart or OSX-e. And Shedko Software has one called sShutdown http://eng.softq.org/

Huh?!!! There should be an iShutConfig.exe in your iShut folder. or you can directly edit settings.ini with a text editor...

Oh yes, i got confused hehe. I'm using ChaosShut, will ask in that specific thread

By the way, iShut does not work correctly with wblinds 6.2, in my case anyway.
