Dashboard And "traffic Lights" For Vista

Recommended Posts

How do I get something similar to Dashboard (on Mac OS X) for my Windows Vista computer? It is one of the few things that I have been unsuccessful in finding a "replacement" program for on Windows. I've tried Yahoo! Widgets, Google Desktop, and AveDesk, but none of them worked well enough to serve as a replacement for me.

Does anyone know of a similar program to Mac Dashboard for Windows Vista?

This is what I'm trying to come as close to as possible: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashboard_(software)

try The Kludget Engine

Kludgets, widgets, gadgets, applets or screenlets are shiny little applications that decorate the desktop. More just than eye-candy on the screen, they provide an enhanced user experience.

Serving information such as news and weather, monitoring email, facebook or twitter updates, are just some of the functionalities than can change the way we experience the internet on our desktop.

The Kludget Engine’s inspiration is the MacOS’s Dashboard widgets and is compatible in terms of technology and format. But the Kludgets Engine brings some of better features from Yahoo’s Widget Engine, Microsoft Gadget, and Google Desktop, and Opera Widgets.

Features:

* MacOS Dashboard Widgets support

* Opera Widgets support

* Open Source (LGPL)

* Cross Platform (Windows,Linux)

* WebKit Technology (HTML5)

* QT Nokia Framework

Work on XP, But dunno 'bout Vista
