KAWSquared 0
Anyone think that it would be really dope if you had a totally transparent computer? Like the shells were completely made of plexiglass? That'd look sick. Anything out there like that? Link to post

matonga 0
GIMP ftw. You dare mean the photo is retouched with GIMP? You are plenty wrong. It was done with... I guess PSP8 (I just took photos to my old notebook, and a friend of mine did the trick). Link to post

matonga 0
I know something that would work for sure:Black text LCD over no background at all.To display white stuff, you need a trasnmissive display (as usual) and a backlight. Or maybe just a reflective display would work. But in any case, there is either a backlight or a mirror behind the polarization layers. To display black stuff, you need just the polarization layer to impede light from the backlight / mirror to emit / reflect light. So yeah it is possible to have a transparent display, but it would have all white stuff be shown as full transparency.A friend, who is studying for electronics engineer, disassembled an LCD digital clock and shown this to me. The clock still worked, showing huge black numbers as usual, and you could see behind the display (however visibility was greatly reduced, because of the absence of a backlight). Link to post
