What are the best Mac OS X Leopard imitation Apps for Windows Vista & XP?

What are the best Mac OS X Leopard imitation Apps for Windows Vista & XP? I know theres docks and such but I ask to try to get a good Win/Mac experience. Like for example please make a list of what you use and maybe if ya want, give a brief description of where to get it, tell if it needs to be bought, and how good it is.

Heres mine:

iChat replica: AIM

TimeMachine replica: none

Media Player: WMP,Quicktime,Real,VLC,DivX

And any other apps that I haven't listed so far.

This will be for refrences and will be used for the good of the Aqua community.

in my opinion miranda is better ichat emulation then aim. MIranda you need to know what ur doing to customize it though

Spaces: Schmrom (an Aqua Soft user) published a thread in Community - Application Releases with a Spaces clone did by himself (haven't tested, but screenshots show a pretty faithfulclone).

Spaces-Vista/XP Virtual Desktops (It actually has mini-preview when switching spaces and when sending application to another window).

I said what i said, and here is not a release of something, it's a member with a question, and i answered to him simply, with some kind of reality and humour.. And now since Mac mini exist Mac is more accessible for all..

Better than some gadget who takes some ressources, and PC (Windows) are so instable with so many bug.

If you don´t mind to spend some money to have an Expose clone, TopDesk was very good at least during the trial version I tested. Switcher was very far from smooth when I tested it on a Vista machine with Aero enabled, maybe it runs smooth in top-notch machines, dunno. However Switcher uses Aero functionality to display windows miniatures, so I mostly recommend it when someone with Vista+Aero asks me for an Expose clone.

For Garageband you could use either use-Mixcraft 4 or FL Studio.

For iMovie I use Pinnacle Studio 12, it's pretty good.

And for Time Machine, I heard that the new Windows Server is supposed to have a Time Machine UI, but nothing is set in stone yet, you know.

Can you guys please give links to these Apps? And I have Vista, juts to let you guys know that. And I've heard alot about Mirandachat, is it good? And if anybody knows how to make it iChat alike?

What's font rendering? And what does it do?

Its the way the OS renders ie "draws" the fonts.

Windows uses a very oldfashioned and ugly way to display fonts, gdi++ hacks into the process and tries to imitate the OSX look in Windows.

AFAIK the dwm-engine uses the graphics card to render the desktop, which makes this issue probably graphics card-dependent. What card were you using when testing it?

AFAIK you don't have any warranty on a software installation at all.

About the crash issue...actually I don't know, just create a restore-point and try ;-) But keep in mind that I tried hard to make my Vista SP1 system crash and I didn't make it. (Without deleting essential files on purpose, of course) It's really very stable and reliable.

Yes sir.

The machine was a notebook with integrated video (Intel video, maybe).

I haven't tested in my friend's new machine (integrated top-notch nVidia card, Vista goes as smooth as silk, really unbelievable and cool).

MySpaces. Already Mentioned, It is a fairly good spaces clone

Switcher runs fine with me, ive got 2gb ram, 8600GT, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.2Ghz.
