hope that all you are installing it by replacing some files... coz no one is commenting the new icons I've made also for XWD settings window and new Finder icon :P

Dude, I noticed everything especially the new strings of text and the new icons in the control panel.

Also the Finder icon is priceless, very good work dude, as always.

usually I'm trying to be more modest but I like new finder icon too, after I made it I was like "wow". I'm using 46 pix size of icon with big bg and for me its good so just your choice ppl :)

so we have now Leopard "plastic" real bg, my real glass bg what else should arrive? :)

soon as Bobah will give ability to put it on sides of screen I will do 2D but I don't think anybody is using it anyway.

NEW VERSION FOR XWINDOWS DOCK 5.2.3.

I will keep posting updates as new version of XWD comes and as I put more improvements to my theme.

VERSION 5.8.1

-for smaller icons than 60 pixels use (Small) versions of skin. This has to be until Bobah13 makes update to dock skinning engine for shrinking height of dock bg proportionally with icons.

Older versions are no longer supported now. 462 downloads (!). Thank you ! I will keep doing my best to "make it look good"!

I do like it. It's really an amazing job!

But you missed a little detail: the icon's reflection is over the bottom edge (please check image).

To fix that, you just have to change the reflection value in the "Config.txt" like this:

from

BottomReflection=0

to

BottomReflection=? ---- (here you put the number of pixels from the edge of the screen ton the internal bottom border)

Yeah dude, that would be awesome too. Even though I wouldn't use mine on the side(because I think it takes up too much window space). It would still be a nice thing for the people that like it like that. Also Denis, do you know why if you have window reflection turned on, that it takes away from the dock alpha?

Mattey - thanks for your info, I know this. I've did it during making the skin, but setting it for ex.3 pix, moves also indicator to the top which s*cks whole dock effect. Should be fixed by Bobah, then I will do it.

usernam3d3 - if you turn on window reflection which should be 30% to look good, it reflects also wallpaper. Thats why. So generally speaking you can turn off opacity by setting it to 100% its still nice. I've put settings.xml for the best settings that looks good for me and resembles M*c, when you set 80% for dock and 30% for win reflection you see dock just like it would look at 60% without win reflection :) It's kinda crazy, coz in mac window reflections are drawed in part of the dock by using some kind of blurred mask, not whole dock.

Hello Denis, I've contacted you in the past so you know me already. Was there an update for XWD? I have v5.2.2 and your Leopard skin v5.2.3. Is there any updates for any of these? Please reply fast, and if so how do I install the update? Do I delete the old XWD then install the new one?

This may sound stoopid but I can't find any SOLID posts on where to get your update and the XWD update.

Yeah dude, check the first page at XWindows Dock thread to download v5.2.3.

You don't have to delete anything first, just install and your good to go.

Just remember one thing son, PC will never be a Mac :) It is not REAL but it's written real coz it's as much close as it could be: whole Mac dock is written other way, it's background is drawed in real time and sized proportionally depending on the screen resolution, size of items, magnification, amount of items. Even angle of left and right sides depends on size of dock so it "lays back" when it's smaller and "stands up" when its bigger, so there's no way to make one, proper bg, unless we have perfect skinning engine which will draw each part by calculating this and that. So don't tell me that you are disappointed because size is few pix up few pix down there and there. I'm not that crazy to sit down and count pixel by pixel is it real or no. You want real, go buy yourself a Mac. This one here took lots of my time and I'm giving it to you to have a nice thing on your f. desktop :) Happy new year.

Hell yeah dude, tell em again man. Making this dock and the skins for it is a *uckin pain in the a**. He has been working at this skin for probably over a week, and with the first release of it you tell him it wasn't worth the hype, how dare you dude. And even though you hate it so much, I bet your probably still using it!

I see behind ur skin a little kid with magnifier analyzing each pixel... :) i will post it today wit fixed sides for u man so u wont start sh*ttin again. Dat kind of ppl proves to me that spending whole week doing theme from basics drawing rectangle changing side angles drawing all the lines setting proper opacities colors shadowings ... Isnt worth s*it. For dat ppl its better to just don't care make screenshot copy and dats all...
