Gibbz
Im running the latest preview build but there is an annoying bug. I select the following settings filter type: filesystem folder folder: *select a folder full of shortcuts* icon: * select custom icon* show icon:always sort by name mod:grid check dont show open folder Now that all works great till i restart the computer and it displays nothing for icons, it still works, just no icons. If i then close objectdock and reopen it it starts working correctly. Any chance of fixing this quickly and doing another build? Link to comment
uuffoo
Dear Matonga,Thank you for your great docklet. Just tried objectdock 190b537u+stack docklet on 64-bit Windows 7 Beta 1 (7000.0.081212-1400) and found its working perfectly as usual. (except the icon problem off course)...update: when we hide the dock sometimes its not able to appear by mouse movement... no its not the stack docklet fault its sure be the objectdock failure Link to comment
matonga
@Gibbz: which icons are not shown?1. The custom icon selected in Icon: option.2. The first three icons of the stack.3. Both. This happens every time you restart your computer? Does it also happen when you logout then login? Link to comment
uuffoo
@Gibbz: have the same icon problem before but "accidentally" fix it few minutes ago... Give Full Control permission to current user on the icon folder and voila! suddenly the icon beautifully re-appear again... (think Modify permission right will be enough but not try it yet). macmacedo93
hi all i've downloaded the build which is in the 1st page of the thread (if this is not the latest build please say so on reply) and i'm using the docklet on RKLauncher and i've got 3 bugs i'm using 3 stack docklets 1st bug is that under the icon i chose for each docklet there's the icon for the dll(check the attached print screen) the 2nd bug is that i have one of the stacks open and i directly click on another stack the old stack closes correctly and the new one also opens (and closes) as it should but the dock zooming effect freezes, i can still click on other icons it but i dont know what i'm clicking because the dock is frozen(i've got to restart it) the 3rd only happens a few times when i open and close a stack sometimes the icons sticks to my mouse and it's like i'm moving the position of the stack on the dock, then when i click the mouse button the stack disappears from the dock (notice that the stack icon is on the top left corner of the screen despite the fact that my mouse is over the dock) Link to comment
hollandais
Reply for Matonga,Same problem with icons. The custom selected icon is not showed.Only the first three of the stack. But now I read the post of uuffooand this works also for me.Now I've icons on the docklet, and the three options are working. The only icons I can use are in . png or .jpg because .ico doesn't work.Maybe can it help Matonga. macmacedo93
as u can see in my screenshot in my previous post the docklet works on rklauncher but with a few bugsi've changed the dock i'm using to rocket dock as the 3rd bug was now happening more frequentlyall i did to get it working was add the docklet as a normal docklet then edit it as normal(Right mouse click on the stack docklet), do not drag and drop the docklet as you'll get the 3rd bug, instead close the launcher open your file explorer and go to RKLauncher installation folder there you have to edit your itemlist.conf file. you should have all your dock items listed (by order of appearence on the dock) all you have to do is look for the stacks docklet entry (should be the last one) cut it (ctrl+x) and then past it where you want it to appear (ctrl+v)you can now restart RKLauncher and the stacks docklet should be where you want it to beas for the icons try putting them in the rklauncher icons folder(but you'll still get the dll icon behind yours) Link to comment
xmelzax
Hai Sir!I've just switched from rocketdock to ObjectDock a couple of days ago - the docklet worked perfectly in rocketdock. I'm now getting the same bug reported above, Icons not showing after reboot. ObjectDock (vista ultimate sp1 32bit, all UAC etc. turned off)I have 7 stacks in total, and have them all set to 'show icon always' - I set the icons I want and it works fine until I reboot, then the icons are missing from the dock (the docklets are still there, and still clickable, just no icon. After quitting ObjectDock and restarting it, the icons are back where they should be.I have also noticed that sometimes one random stack icon will disappear from the dock (again, just the icon - the docklet is still there and working).Thank you very much for this awesome docklet and all the work you've put into it!=) Link to comment
Gibbz
i am logged in as administrator so I have no way to give the program any higher access. I have just installed windows 7 beta, and object dock works fine, but when i click on any of my stackdoclets to open them it crashes object dock. Any chance of getting this working on windows 7? Ok logging off then login back in does not fix the problem., only closing the dock, or re assigning the icons fixes the problem also a feature request, right click support. Id like to be able to use the vista "right click>open file location" Do Not Double/Triple post - use the edit feature - mps69 Link to comment
uuffoo
@ Gibbz 1. as you can see i am running objectdock with stacks docklet on Windows 7 beta 7000 as well. yes it will crash simultaneously if we use themes with multiple wallpaper but it will be work fine if we change it to single wallpaper themes. edit: actually mine is not crash, but will not appear when i move my mouse cursor to where my objectdock should appear (bottom and left screen). Need to open another window (Win-E to open explorer or alt-TAB to move to another active program) to make it re-appear. 2. are you login as user with administrator right or really login as the administrator (user name = administrator)? In my case i login as user with administrator right. and to make stackdock work i move all dock menu to c:stack and give Full Control right to the folder. and everything work fine since then... @Matonga "the master" try objectdock with and without stacks docklet (autohide enable or disable), 1st problem is still happen so i believe the problem not cause by your stacks docklet... uuffoo
@Gibbz: at the first page Matonga give below link:If you experience crashes while using it, please use this version instead:http://matias.securityconsultant.com.ar/St...FoldersOnly.zipThis version doesn't have special folders support (such as Control Panel, etc...) but runs very stable, at least in my computer.are you using this version (1.0.0.371) or the regular (1.0.0.359)? I am using the 371 one to avoiding the crash. if you are using the 359 version please download the 371 version from the above link. hope it work for you. Link to comment
Gibbz
Old version: http://matias.securityconsultant.com.ar/St...ew-1.0.0.98.zip (old version, mostly stable, no support for special folders) Ok the other 2 crash, but this older one works ill try later see if it fixed the icon issue to. Edit: icons are also fixed on the old version. Link to comment
matonga
I'm currently bugfixing only FileSystemFoldersOnly version, which is the most stable (I'm at the same time rewriting stacks from scratch, but it will take a long time).I've fixed an issue with folders with a dot in the name, where the part after the dot was being hidden.http://matias.securityconsultant.com.ar/St...FoldersOnly.zip Link to comment

matonga
Hi,xp, rocketdock, more users, so rocketdock is set to store settings in registry not in ini file.I find, that after the other user logs in, my stack configs are gone. What do I do wrong?thxI abide by ObjectDock's API specification. The problem is RocketDock, which should give me a .ini file path into your personal folder (such as C:Documents and Settings%your username%Application DataRocketDockDocklets.ini). Unfortunately, I've been unable to contact RocketDock authors. If someone knows how to contact them, please don't hesitate to tell me how.EditA workaround to your problem would be to install RocketDock into your My Documents folder, and use the "Install as portable app" (or something like that) while installing. Do the same for every other user of your computer.EditI reread your post, and now I think I understand what you mean. Let's see:Install RocketDock, as a "portable app", in some folder that can be seen by all users. Then you'll able to see your stacks, independently of which user you have logged in with. chatpristi
@MatongaYou might try to send Polyvector and Skunkie (Rocketdock's authors) a message through this page :http://punklabs.com/press Link to comment
