VS Mockup - Worth finishing or not?

Recommended Posts

Greetings everyone, I've been working on an idea for a VS:

(to forestall any questions, it is inspired by xhanticeye's TiSkin, so it may bear some resemblance to it)

I've yet to decide whether to do it or not, but I think it'll be done as a WB skin.

(this is my first take on OS skinning, so I really don't know if some parts of the VS are doable, like those small ListView Headers, etc...)

Also, this is developed to fit my needs and there may be parts that may change completely or just won't change at all.

Please permit me some time to finish it, as I've never done this before :)

Would you use it? Do you like it? And if not, why?

I'm open to all kinds of contructive critique :)

Thank you, I'm glad you like it :)

I dunno about the guikit thing, but I do plan to include custom skins for Firefox and Photoshop.

Thanks for the icon offer though, I'll get back to you if needed :)

Thanks for encouraging me Mr. Wallmaster :D

I had a look at umaso's buttons, but they're a bit too bold for my taste.

I'm trying to aim for understatement, a VS that is a bit taken back to be a possible "keeper"

The buttons on the Toolbar aren't final, just 'till I find something more fitting.

Expect something more in the next weeks ^_^

@d-lab:

Uh, my trial of StyleBuilder ran out, so I suppose it's up to someone else to port it over :)

All of the above shown is subject to change, so wait what I'll whip up :P

Oh, that would be overkill ;)

I just wanted to know if there's a general agreement over the idea's worthiness, hehe.

I am having a look at SkinStudio right now, and putting some things together for first tests.

Does anyone know of a borderless WB theme that I could use as a base?
