iCow 0
I think RK launcher. Works out of box. Also the aladdin lamp effect works really good for me. Nice and smooth. Link to post
metallicamaster3 0
ObjectDock...plain and simpleRK is cool, but i never found out how to use it.....i just use OD cuz its the first ive ever used, and if you ask me, its the eisiest...not to mention that it has the least flaws then any of the rest.... Levi- The perfectionist 0
I Use RKLauncher, and was very surprised to hear that some people use Rocket Dock and even Moby dock still... I'm confused.. rocketdock is actively being developed upon, it's most recent release was less than a week ago and brought with it animated minimizing (and maximizing) of windows with multimonitor support, why would it be suprising that some folks use it? I meant i was surprised some people 'Still' used Mobydock... And yes I know Rocket dock is still being developed, but i am surprised that anyone would use it over RKLauncher and I want to know why. It's a pity Yamaguchi was stopped - now Apple doesn't seem to care that much - all I dream of is an anonymous source code leak, one day ...hahaha someone ought to re-release Y'z dock with a new name.... dreadnaut 0
...hahaha someone ought to re-release Y'z dock with a new name.... ehm... cough... wasn't that AquaDock ? Link to post
Chazoul 0
I don't use RK Launcher anymore but it was my favourite dock. Link to post
Levi- The perfectionist 0
ehm... cough... wasn't that AquaDock ? ohh ok ... i've never used Aqua dock to know. thanx for informing me was it exactly identical? ie- did it work on the same.... umm.... coding and whatnot? same features?.... made by same person? Link to post
dreadnaut 0
I wasn't here when it happened, but I searched a bit around at the time. It seems that AquaDock was just a reshacked version of YzDock that came out after the cease & desist. But older members can probably give you a better explanation of the mess :-) Link to post
farout49 0
I use RKlauncher It is cool Link to post
Austin123 0
I think RK launcher. Works out of box. Also the aladdin lamp effect works really good for me. Nice and smooth.Really?! Wow you are one lucky user then, can you list your specs?Im off to try Rocketdock once again Link to post
spyro94 0
RK Launcher was nice as I said before.. but the aladdin lamp effect didn't work well for me, the screen would go all black and it would be grainy.. is that something thats been fixed in new releases... Link to post
Austin123 0
No, the updates of Rk Launcher have temporarily stopped Link to post
Mr. B 0
I've use Objectdock for a few years. The only other one I ever tried was MobyDock but I didn't like it as much. Link to post
firecracker6 0
Can someone confirm if rklauncher's portable? I mean, truly portable as in it doesn't leave any traces.. either in the registry or otherwise when the app is closed and usb drive ejected..Also, to be considered a good portable app, the program takes into consideration read/write frequency to improve portable performance. Can anyone weigh in on rklauncher's success in this? If anyone has run the dock from their usb drive, have they noticed any harsh lags during specific actions?FYI: I heard mentioned in the punk forums that RocketDock, with it's newest release, has an option to store it's settings in a portable ini file. It sounds like Rocketdock can now be installed as a portable app but I also heard mention that there are some improvements to the read/write frequencies that can and still to be improved upon for portability. Can anyone from the rocketdock camp could add to this? Link to post
bcjuriiigxc 0
Yeah. RKLauncher is the best =) Link to post

If anyone has run the dock from their usb drive, have they noticed any harsh lags during specific actions?I'll say RK is portable, I'm using it on my flash drive and it hasn't left anything when I plug it in to my works PC. It's great for running portable apps from. I've even got a auto.ini set up on the usb drive which allows me to just click the dialogue box and RK kicks off. Link to post
nils918634968 0
RocketDock 1.3. Lower memory usage, smoother animations as RKlauncher and it doesn't crash as RKlauncher does it sometimes. Link to post
Ghil 0
Yzdock for me. 4 years old and still the best but I'm watching Rocketdock, maybe in a few builds.. Link to post
UzY3L 0
RK Launcher.Haven't tested anything else besides RK Launcher and ObjectDock, but RK Launcher has smoother animation and is more transparent 8-} Link to post
colophon 0
Rocket dock all the way! and since the new version has compatibility with nearly every skin out there, why doesn't everyone use it?It lacks running indicators and sufficient docklet support. That's just a personal preference for me. It runs really smoothly, though. I used it for awhile.I've tried ObjectDock, RocketDock, and RKLauncher, and RKLauncher has to be the best one I've used. ObjectDock never played well with my computer (animations weren't very smooth). RKLauncher has all the features I want. Link to post
firecracker6 0
It lacks running indicators...I think the newest version of RocketDock introduces running indicators. Link to post
colophon 0
I think the newest version of RocketDock introduces running indicators. I just checked the new version. It's so smooth...and has everything I need. Jeez, why did I vote so quickly for RKL? Link to post
Markoz 0
RK Launcher will be mine because it stays high up and away from the indicator, not like objectdock though. Link to post
idawn 0
I use OD and RK, but in RK I miss to save many themes That is wat makes me dull but still I go with RK Link to post
DZGH_Operator 0
Let me see, I first used Y'z Dock, then I tried RK Launcher and now I'm using ObjectDock because it's working without any problems and doesn't use much resources. That's why I have voted for ObjectDock. Link to post
