Don Mateo 0
The lower the number, the better I feel. My Samsung SyncMaster 206BW has a 2ms response time, got it for $200. I feel better with buying a monitor for $200 with 2ms response time than buying an ACD with 16ms response time for $600.I understand... but I'd rather trust my eyes than a number. Link to post
metallicamaster3 0
Try playing Call of Duty 4 on one of those things. A relative has one of the 23 inchers on his XPS and it's frustrating when you can't make out the difference between a tree and an OpFor. Link to post
Paralex 0
I understand... but I'd rather trust my eyes than a number.Even if the ACD was at 2ms, it's still too expensive. Yeah, it looks pretty, but that doesn't do anything for me. Either way, I compared them; I find my SyncMaster to be way better. Link to post
metallicamaster3 0
Ahh, syncmasters. They've had problems with Linux in the past, in my experiences as well as others. I like the Ultrasharp series from Dell and most, if not all, HP monitors. Link to post

Either way, I compared them; I find my SyncMaster to be way better.Yes, that's why I have a SyncMaster too. It's nice and no problems with it but I've found that Apple displays just have better image quality. Phantom_Lord: I thought Dell uses Samsung panels anyway, so is there much of a difference? Link to post
metallicamaster3 0
Don: dunno, to be honest. A panel is one thing, the whole product is another.Dell displays I like -- they got an insane number of USB ports for ya. Monitor + USB hub. Link to post
Necroplasm 0
It's not the panel's manufacturer that matters, but the type of the panel. A TN-panel will never archieve the quality of a higher class panel-type. No one would buy a graphics-display just to play games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPVA#Types Link to post
