Once again, GREAT job with this skin!! The new version is even better.

I had a quick question -- have you ever thought about putting together an iPhone skin, too? Your OSX Tiger skin is the best out there and I'm sure you could make the best iPhone skin, too. Right now, there are a few attempts at an iPhone skin for the V3, but they all have some weirdness to them.

For example, there's one here: http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=35637 with a DRM, but, this creator added a white apple to the right of each highlighted menu item, which gets in the way of the cell/phone/office icons in the addressbook and just looks a bit weird. Also, the icons at the bottom of the home menu seem arranged incorrectly -- for example, to get to the icon on the right, you have to press the left d-pad key.

Since you seem to have a finesse at creating themes that this iPhone one does not approach, I'd love to see you create the best iPhone theme out there! Thanks for this great skin! Just put it onto my Razr V3 and it looks so great :-)

But it's the first time that I tried this, so there are some things I don't understand and I hope someone can help me to correct it:

I can't get the phone to use the power-up and power-down sounds. I placed them in the audio folder, but when I power up the phone, still the Moto screen and sound appears, after that the Mac OS startup sequence shows. Is there a way to correct this?

And... after flashing the font, the languages are all gone except for italian and english... I want my german back, if possible! How can I do that?

Does someone have a copy of the correct 280x240 background user Tupring suggested for filling up the caller ID screen? I thought after reading the READ ME file that PDidee had modified his original image files, but the ones I have are still 176x220. Specifically I'm looking for the aqua version. Thanks a ton, and thanks to PDidee for making this great theme. I'm new to skinning and flashing, but thanks to the instructions in this thread and the great guides at mac.themotoguide.com I successfully installed my first theme. All without using a PC!

EDIT: Is it even possible to have the correct dimensions on the inside screen and the outside? I just resized the original image to be 280x240 so it shows up fine on the outside screen, but on the inside of course it looks distorted and gets cropped by the phone

EDIT2: So I'm dumb and don't know what I was thinking. You can obviously change this setting and make the wallpaper "Fit to Screen" I'll just throw this out there in case there are other idiots like me

I just installed this skin on my new V3m. Works great. The only issue I am having is that the little icon that sits down at the bottom center between the left and right buttons is missing.

PD, do you know why this might be? Did I forget to copy over a file?

Well I figured it out. I downloaded skinner4moto and was playing around when I realized that on the v3m there is no center graphic between the left and right button. The left and right button meet in the middle. Anyway. Thanks for all your hard work and inspiring me to make a few skins of my own. My wife is asking for a LOST skin for her Razr. sheesh! :-)

So the whole skin thing didnt go to well for me. My phone seems to be fine now, i never flashed it so too much damage couldent have been done. I downloaded all of the drivers and apps, added the files into te right directories, restarted my phone, but then whenever I went to Settings > personalize > Skins there was nothing there. So I went through and deleted all the iles out of the directories that I created and such. But now I have another problem, i dont have the origional startup and shutdown screens, I am also missing the oriigional cl-.gif image. If anybody could help me figure out what i did wrong, or provide me with those files it would be MUCH appriciated. Thanks.

Okay, so I just recently got my RAZR V3 (passed down from someone else) a few days ago...and now I'm finally getting used to the phone itself. I've been looking at many tutorials and directions as to how to apply different skins to my phone. Being a total noob I am having alot of trouble figuring it out. I really like this Mac osx skin....but I'm not quite sure how to correctly apply it without messing up my phone. I downloaded and unzipped the files and placed them in a new folder, and preceeded to use Pk2 to try and find the files and move them to my phone, but could not find the files. So...I'm not sure what to use, Pk2 Commander or SkiMan, whenever I try to use PK2 I can never find the files that I have unzipped from the download, and when I try to use skiman the files never seem to work. I would like to use skiman (since it seems to be the faster solution), but I'm not exactly sure how it works and I don't want to mess up my phone beyond repair. Help or any suggestions would be great...thanks.

1 Extract skin files to any directory

2 Open P2K Tools

3 Load Drive /a on the left side

4 on the right side navigate to the unzipped directory

5 On your a drive (phone) go to MobileSkins

6 Right click the folder skins and make a new directory MATCHING you skin file names (for example if skin file names are MotoX2.ski MotoX3.ski you name the new folder MotoX

7 Upload skin files (not the folder) to the new directory

8 Restart your phone (shutdown and power up again)

9 You should find your skin it menu>settings>personalize>skins

hope that helps ;)
