Really nice work PDidee !

But I only have one question : What is the name for the folder in P2k:/a/mobile/skins/ ? MacOSXTiger doesn't work anymore for me. And should I copy all the xxx.dat into this folder ?

Thanks for replies... :)

EDIT: Allright, It works, it's really great and smooth. :D

Thanks a Lot, man !

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming positive response. I am currently working on the DRM. I have all the popular icons complete and have created the bmp's, masks, as well as the raw images. Problem I'm running into is understanding the required hex edits (not sure what to do there). That and work has been busy. :P

Updated! See first post. New Screenies! :D

Oh and if anyone still wants to give me a hand with this DRM I'd appreciate it. Somebody please tell me how to Hex Edit!!! I'd like to create more Icons that are only DRM alterable! Also a full default Gif DRM Directory would be great!

;)

Okay. Now you, my friend, you are the reason i'm getting active on this board. Your work has been too cool untill know that I can't resist helping you.

I'm from Germany so please excuse me if my English keeps containing grammatical mistakes.

I'll continue your work by creating a drm reflash for SLVR L7 ('cause thats the phone I have - so the only phone i can test my work).

@aashish13: It's a Motorola skin I I made using skinner4Moto. You can download and apply the skin usinf P2Kcommander. A complete guide can be found here.

@bhaylett: Search motox.info for a app called Moto4Lin. Someone compiled the Linux version of the file management app to work for a Mac. You can flex and seem but not flash your phone with in.

Pdidee, congratulations for this amazing skin.

I only have one issue with my Black V3:

There's a small (1px) transparent line below the softkey labels (the metal with holes pattern), that shows the background picture. I tried changing the image files manually and found that they're actually 21 pixels high, not 22 px as motoskin wants. I tried to use the new files but the result wasn't good: right half of the right softkey label is 23 px high, and all the remaining is 22px.

Any chance you could look at this, please? Thanks in Advance

Thanks for the attention! May I give some suggestions:

A nice feature to avoid clunky borders is adding a 1px white border around each icon. I saw that on Royal skin (at motomodders), and was amazed.

If you could look on another set of icons, like iTiger's one, it would look great. I tried porting them but the result was horrible: iTiger icons aren't transparent on blank areas, that gives a nicer transition but looked awful on the menu of other skins!

And to finish, semi-transparent menu backgrounds, that give a nice touch, in my opinion.

yes olympus, icons in my skin are not transparent, because you cant create such a icons with shadows in transparent mode

if you want to add my icons to Mac OSX Tiger skin, just extract it with skinner4moto, open Mac OSX Tiger skin and replace them, after replacing go to Main Menu backround color set and change the color to RGB - 226 225 225, and transparency set to 0, then save this skin and you will have Mac OSX Tiger skin with this icons
