aleph
Now someone tell me otherwise, but isnt this just a shameless rip off of the Macmini profile? full details- http://www.sonos.com/products/zoneplayers/zp80/images.htm Link to comment
deiphobus
Oh man. If you think that is a Mac Mini rip-off... you should look for products by Taiwan-based companies. Link to comment
Rufus_86
It is a houshold music player, much like a mac with airtunes...and a really cool remote...But I'll habd it to ya', it does look like one...kinda...MuchLove Link to comment
gnomexp
Meh.... minis were inspired by shuttlePCs, which were inspired by other stuff, which were inspired by shoeboxes? Link to comment
sunb1rd
the more rip-offs the better-- they'll eventually make one small, stylish.... wait for it..............and affordable! although I suppose you do get what you pay for. my opinion of taiwanese electronics is generally... well, see previous statement. maced
inspired by shoeboxes lol Link to comment
fenixtx22
have you seen the remote that comes with it its not a mac mini rip off and neither is this. now anything that is small with round corners gets called a mac-mini rip off. Link to comment
aleph
yeah... the remote is an ipod rip-off Link to comment
Carvetia
Because it's square and has round corners?!? haha, i do hope you are joking. Link to comment
nomis_nehc
yah seriously, i have seen many more that looks so much more than macmini than this. Link to comment
duyvan82
someone's getting pwned like a b!tch lol Link to comment
shmengie
well, i've been waiting to pounce, and it seems that now, the time is right. several years ago, i was awarded an international patent for anything "square," "square-ish" or "square-like." i've decided to go ahead and start filing lawsuits against anyone who illegally uses my patented shape. when the moolah starts rolling in, i'm gonna buy aqua-soft and turn it into a vista-only website. of course, if the world wants to pay me a licensing fee to use my shape... Paralex
Looks nothing like the mini, the design of it looks so...flat. It's garbage, really. Link to comment
grim53
i thought the mini was a rip of the cube, with was a rip of the square. Link to comment
Ellada
Cube = 3d square. There are far more obvious mini rips than this, but dont think the mac mini design is all original to begin. Link to comment
Desides
It's really getting pointless to keep crying about Mac Mini ripoffs. Apple introduced a new concept, and it's taken hold. There is nothing inherently wrong with companies making small cube PCs--in fact, I welcome the shift away from the ATX/tower form factor. A low power, low profile computer like the Mini or its derivatives have plenty of potential applications. Let's not discourage them by crying ripoff, alright? Link to comment
duyvan82
it's funny because the mac mini design is actually a rip off of the shuttle's. Just that they look way better than their wintel counterparts, which leads people to say [and think] they are original. People really have no clue whatsoever about what is coming out of their holes :slant: Link to comment
nylock10
This is worse: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/mcexmini.asp?v=d Link to comment

From a design perspective, all Apple did was dumb down the exterior. Original thinking, creative and innovative... I think not. Link to comment
