Cause from what I saw on more Mac screenshots is that that is default in the finderbar in Mac.

yeah i know it's a Mac. I have a Mac as well, but I can't figure out where I can change the setting to actually display the date. Right now, it only displays the day of the week (like "Sat 4:30 PM"). My desktop is in page 48

It's not the default clock, it's menucalendarclock....shareware but the clock functionality is free....
