[W.I.P] new spotlight application (gds v2 beta)

What objectbar clone are you using? I just have the standard one from Flyakite OSX and i love that you can change that little useless jpg of spotlight into the real thing!!!! Any tips you give would be so greatly appreciated... oh yeah i love the spotlight clone... after laboring for days with other ones, amazingly... yours just worked!

would it be possible to get a few of you (one to four people?) to PM me with your AIM or MSN names, and test a release im putting together. instead of posting it for all to download, and not getting a good download to response ratio -- i hope this way will work better.

for some reason I can not find some files that are on my HD yet when I tested with the google interface it found them-so they are indexed but the clone is not finding them-what gives

if you guys could please help me put together a default extension list for the groups, i would GREATLY appreciate it. right now as you can see from the last screenshot, there is only a few extensions that i came up with off the top of my head. i would like a nice list, for when i release this to the public

Riot, I'm not sure what all extensions you have for images already, but here are some extras for the music, movies, and documents that I think are still pretty standard. You have probably already got these by now

audio: wav, ra, m4p, wma

documents: xls, ppt

videos: mov, wmv, divx, rv

Great job. The search-as-you-type speed was awesome. Btw, I would like to request a feature to make it floating, so that i can put it anywhere on my desktop. I have the desktopsidebar installed and thus, have to hide it to use spotlight.

Also, i compared the search results of your application with google's floating bar and was surprised to see completely different search results in both of them. I don't know why this happens since you mentioned using GDS engine in your app.

Input would be highly appreciated. TIA

there are position sliders in the settings i didnt see them at first. they're on the right and bottom

Is this project dead? No news for a while. I was loving it but had to reformat and now it says runtime error 13 when i try to load it. Ideas or alternatives welcome.

this project is not dead. ive had quite a few personal issues come up recently that have held me back on development -- including a family member passing away. im sorry for lack of updates, but i will be active again before long.
