localhost
Another update: Now it doesn't remove the WindowFX shadow and a I fixed a couple of bugs. Update: Now it also replaces the current window title with the application's name. You can edit the application names shown by editing OB_Mod.ini. You can put the following in OB_Mod.ini: ApplicationName=NewApplicationName ProcessName.exe=NewApplicationName ProcessName.exe=TITLEThis will make the mod ignore ProcessName.exe's application name and show the window's title instead. This is what it does: Replaces Ctrl+/Alt+/Shift+ in menus with the matching icons from the Mac keyboard. requires an ObjectBar theme that uses OBFont. Removes underlines from menu items Replaces the "Desktop" and "ObjectBar" text that is shown when no window is active with "Finder" Note: The mod is not related to iTunes, the screenshot is from iTunes because there are many Ctrl+/Alt+/Shift+ strings there. Download here. Works with ObjectBar 1.65. You should put both of the files in the rar in your ObjectBar installation folder. Enjoy. Link to comment

WoRLdWaR_2
requires an ObjectBar theme that uses OBFont. OBFont??? wat would that be and what current theme uses tht........cause i installed it and with all of my mac bar themes it wont show the authentic mac shortcut keys in the menus.........(although of course the "finder" word replaces "desktop and objectbar lol" so there's no problem there..) soo plz help me out here.... Link to comment
localhost
Those themes use OBFont:http://aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=23166http://free-st.htnet.hr/crni/and probably a lot more. Link to comment
WoRLdWaR_2
Those themes use OBFont:http://aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=23166 http://free-st.htnet.hr/crni/ and probably a lot more. :slant: hmmm....ok that problem was fixed....but the only issue i have been having with a number of accurate aqua themed bars is that either right away or soon after i load those themes, when i open a new window (anytype from any host program) it appears on the intended "viewing" space it was supposed to appear on for a quick second, and then it seems to move all the way to the left OFF THE SCREEN and i find no way to move, resize, or interact with any window (or even restore it back to the viewing space) or in fact it just flickers a quick shadow/outline of the window and disappears to the left off the scrn..................and another thing is that if it doesnt give me that problem (for one reason or another) it tends move a window that i open a few pixels to the left and when i maximize a trillian Instant Message window,...like 1/3's of the Trillian IM maximized window is offscreen to the left (instead of filling all the space hence the "maximize window command" =P) ....... those are just some issues i have been having in the past and at this moment with many aqua themed bars. (at first i thought it was the doing of that option that makes OB replace and remove the menu (File, Edit, etc) bar from the Windows Explorer windows with the replaceable menu bar on the objectbar theme (they added this i guess to make OB usefull in that sense, not to be used so much just as a skin or add-on tht u could consider as "Mac OSX 10.4 Certified Accurate EyeCandy lol") In any case i would greatly appreciate if there was a cause and/or solution for this bug or conflict...............thx in advance  .....(sorry to bug u about this though.....lol) nice mod btw makes it look REAL accurate to the Mac OS 10.4 Finder Bar... Great Job my friend... Link to comment

xacto95
Is there any way to replace the word "Finder" with only the name of the application in focus? It would be nice if it could still say "Finder" when no windows are in focus. The best I can do with the configuration dialog in ObjectBar is to get the word "Finder" replaced with the entire contents of the selected window's title bar. Anyone know how to work around this? xacto95
Done I always wanted to do it but I was lazy. Did I miss something? I had installed your mod before posting to your forum - I closed ObjectBar, backed up my existing ObjectBar.exe, and then placed the two files you provided in my ObjectBar folder. Was there something else I was supposed to do? Is there a special tag I need to use to get only the application name displayed? Link to comment
Ariw2003net
Could you make an OB2 version? Link to comment

I'll have to try it when I get home tonight! Link to comment

localhost
Very awesome. Just one question though. Why does it remove the shadow from the main bar?because that shadow stays always on top, like the bar itself. it shouldn't be that way. the shadow also changes when the bar is activated/deactivated. it shouldn't be like this in OSX, right?I'll release an object for DesktopX to replace that shadow. zondajag
oh well i cant be bothered with this then... i mean i'd just stick with the normal windows taskbar with tasks in it (of course ive modded the way it looks though!) Link to comment
localhost
at first I sticked with the normal taskbar too. I have been trying ObjectBar many times and got mad at it after a couple of hours/days. but after you get used to it it's really great. Link to comment

XalCore
I gotta agree with XanthraX - this is fantastic!!!I remember trying an older version of this but this one is truly amazing! Having the mac shortcuts just completes it for me - fantastic work as always localhost! Link to comment
cat326
I agree, this is great - thanks so much. The only thing is that, for some reason that is beyond me, it seems to work only about 80%. That is, with certain programs, it doesn't bring up that specific program's application menu but instead remains on the Finder/ObjectBar menu. While I haven't done a whole lot of exploring, having installed it only yesterday, examples of programs I've noticed include Firefox, and, oddly, iTunes (I say 'oddly' because it looks so nice in the screenshot). I've tried switching skins to see if that's the problem, and it doesn't seem to be. I've also tried adjusting the .ini file (not too much though, as I'm rather a novice), to no avail. I'm pretty sure all the boxes that ought to be checked off in the Properties dialog are, indeed, checked off. I apologize if this is confusing and unclear - I've confused myself by this time. The upshot, though, is that I'm at a bit of a loss...if anyone has any thoughts? thanks. Link to comment
