Carlospr
Unbeliever,The RAM usage is not an issue as you are thinking! If you take a look at your Windows' Task Manager after playing around with themes etc. you will probably see that it needs +11MB of RAM. But, in fact, it does not need all that RAM at all.If another program needs RAM Windows XP will, automatically, free some RAM that DeskPhoto is allocating (as well as RAM from other applications). On systems with less RAM than yours, Windows XP won't let DeskPhoto takes so much RAM for a long time. I also test DeskPhoto in a 256MB of RAM. Everytime I take a look at Task Manager it shows that DeskPhoto uses less RAM than my 512MB of RAM PC. Link to comment
Carlospr
Alpha 8 released:Now you can control the "frame zoom" (width+height) and "picture area" (width+height) separately. You can easily have a bigger frame and a smaller picture area.Regarding picture area: Remember: you can control all aspects of the picture area: top position, left position, height size and width size separately.http://www.closetosoftware.com/DeskPhoto.zip===============================================nightcrawler1089,The dialog flickers? It's probably a "frame" issue. However, I'm testing the program in 2 different PCs and it does not happen. Link to comment

Carlospr
To use DeskPhoto with no frame just write a fake full path png in "Options>Frame skin". I will add an option that "officially" removes the frame.Full desktop: in theory probably yes (since you have full control over picture area size). However, the program was not designed to such use. Carlospr
DeskPhoto Alpha 12 is out (27 Apr 2005)! What's new? - System tray feature (as an option) - Always on top - Transparent Picture Background (*) - Some improvements - Small bugs fixed (*) If your photo does not fit in the "picture area", DeskPhoto will fill the rest of the area with black. Now there is an option to make this empty area transparent instead black. This is interesting if you are using an "Aero" frame or other transparent frame. Just check this option and you will understand what I mean. http://www.closetosoftware.com/DeskPhoto.zip New screenshot based on the frame made by Trikcy (http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread....ghlight=frame):  Link to comment

FatAxl
I did have a quick question. I had recently changed some of the options, and really messed it up. So I wanted to start over with a fresh new beginning of the program. So I erased the folder for the program, and unzipped a new copy of the program. Ran it and the options that I changed before I erased everything is still set to those numbers.I was wondering, is there a way to change the settings back to the way they are suppose to be, or can someone post the settings that thay are suppose to be set at so I can changed them back myself? Thanks in advance ! This is an awasome app by the way !!!FatAxl Link to comment
Carlospr
FatAxl,If you know how to handle with registry then it's easy. Just delete the following key (*) and start the program again:HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareDeskPhoto(*) THE KEY TO DELETE IS ONLY "DeskPhoto"!NOTE: IF YOU'RE NOT SURE WHAT TO DO DON'T TRY TO DELETE ANYTHING FROM REGISTRY!
