[release] Sinapse v0.1

Recommended Posts

i downloaded sinapse after a friend demo'd it for me on his laptop. however, once i have the program installed it won't actually do anything. it'll run, but the activation keys don't work. i went into the configuration panel and tried to set key combos and it didn't seem to register any of them, and none of the hot corners are working, either. what's wrong?

i'm running XP SP2 and i've got a radeon 9700 so it can't be a graphics problem... the program itself runs without a problem but it doesn't seem to want to take input. what's going on here?

If Sinapse works it is nice, but unfortunately after some time it always crashes. Also the dimmed windows are too dark. If Sinapse is activated by a mouse button or key stroke and the mouse pointer happens to be over a window in Sinapse's overview, you can't tell well what is shown in the other windows now dimmed by Sinapse.

Thanks for the nice tool and please continue your efforts!

Hi all, I'm new to this. first of all, thanks to SIWI for this incredible program. Works great for me. For those of you who can't get Y'z Dock excluded, I know how. After you have done the cool drag and drop thing, and saved it, open up the config file. Find the spot in the config that says NAMEwhere NAME is the name of the Y's Dock class. remove it so that it reads just and it will be discluded. I don't know why this works, but it does. Also, for some of you others who are having problems, remember you need to be on windows XP, and need to have that font monotype corsiva lol.

hi guys im new to this but im really into your expose clones they rock, well anyway heres what i wanna ask you, i really love sinapse, the animations are good and the way it resizes all the windows you have, but theres one thing that would make it better than anything out there and thats if it could show minimized windows too, like just by pressing f9 it would bring evey window into xpose...even minimized ones, i know iEx does this so why doesnt sinapse??? if you can alter a .ini file for me so that it can show every single window including minimised ones, then as i say it would be the best expose clone out there....see what you can do, and keep up the good work....email me with the ini file if you can at [email protected] cheers

I kept getting an out of memory exception on my Laptop with 1920X1200 on Geforce 4200go 32mb. I mad e the screen resolution 1024X768 and ran sinapse and if worked great. I then made the resolution 1920X1200 and sinapse still worked, but only in a 1024X768 box. This is fine with me. Is there a way to include in the gui or the config.xml to make sinapse use a lower resolution? This way it would still be useful to us who have higher screen resolutions.

Great work. The app runs great on my desktop (GF 6800 GT @ 1920x1200) and fairly well on my laptop (GF 5200 @ 1400x1050).

Some bugs:

1) The app crashes if you run it while another instance is already running in another user session.

2) The app crashes if the config file points to the wrong directory for script/organizer files. I think some more graceful error handling would be nice in a future release :)

Any news Siwu?

It's been about 2.5 months since this release, and for those who have used it, we can all agree it's looking pretty good... but has the trail gone dead again? :(

Well the thing is I definitely didn't have time to continue the development of Sinapse. Eventually I'll release the sources if I can't continue development.
