Ken: I'm sorry if I'm flodding you haha, but I have some widget ideas

1. iDoodle - A small pad, a tad bit bigger than Stickies, appears, where you can just hold down the left click and make little doodles

2. Mood lights - Click a small button or "pull" a light switch, and you get different neon color lights that you can place at the top button, left, right.

3. Countdown - A prompt appears asking the title, and time of the event. If no time is given, 12:00am is used, then the count down appears

Just ideas that I though up when I was downstairs eating tacos haha, you can completetly ignore all of them, I'm just psyked about this flash app.

I also have an idea!!! :smartass:

I think it'd be cool if he could make a built in browser....(I do not know if it's possible) showing Aqua-Soft. :D

AND/OR a cool movie player. maybe you can add a drop down thing to the iTunes conroller to show a movie that we have stored on our hd (I belive this is possible)

AND/OR/and/or (i'm not sure if this is what you meant by doodling is so never mind.) a drawing pad. the size of the calender but wider and square so we can draw. Looking like a canvas. (if ya want I can make it in PS) :D

just my 2 cents...or should I say 3 cents since I made 3 comments... :blink:

Yeah the iDoodle is just a drawing pad basically, I just wanted a cool name........iDoodle haha

I have already found a good background for the blackboard ;)

But please, no more widget requests for the moment. There are still tons to be done with the current ones and I try to work as much as I can in my spare time.

err okay...I understand. This is hard..As someone is is attempting to do something similar I know this is hard..that is why I didn't bother releasing mine yet..cause it sucks... >.<

hey i am not rushing you but i am curious if you can make me part of your alpha testing group, if you have one. oh and the itunes thing's albumn art is evil. it stays white forever. oh and one last question: how can i set itunesremote to start itunes minimized?

Quick question for you...will we be able to have multiple widgets of the same type on the desktop? for instance, say I'd like 2 stickies on my desktop, would that be possible?

Quick answer: No! The first version of DW will only let you have one of each kind. Those are not meant to be complete apps, just a few gadgets to help you enter a quick note, find a date in the calendar or perform a quick calculation, etc.

Besides, who would want to have a complete app confined in the desktop wallpaper?

please accept my apologies! I did not mean to imply I wanted a complete app in your work. I just had read earlier that you had asked if it was possible to create multiple stickies in tiger and how and I was wondering if DW was also going to have that. forgive me if this has already been answered, but this is the first time I've seen this thread at all.

After browsing through the code of the original widgets, I found nothing related to having two or more instances of a widget on the desktop. I also found out how you select paper colour for the stickies, what the red button in the address book does (opens the Mac address book app), how u select a city for the world clock, etc.

No need to apologize, mdz-numbers :) Thank you (all of you) for your interest and your support.

im not releasing it i am just sayin wow i got it and u can too by saving the page (cause everything has to be web friendly nywayz) but if ny1 took that wrong im sry and can close my post

if only nillinu's 'saving thingy' ( :lol: ) included the new apps like the new itunesremote and the volume controller/playback controller (though i saved it before nillinu said how. i guess i must be an expert about stuff :lol: oh and ken if you insist anyone HAS to stop using the new unreleased dw i will use pr1. oh and where can i get the wall from the web releases?

It's a work in progress, so there is no need to post it in the news yet.

And...

I don't care which version you're using or if you manage to get rid of the PR message. The reason I released it is to get comments, reports about bugs, etc. If you want to help me at all, spend your time trying it, not trying to rip it. Again, if you want to rip it, I couldn't care less
