I copied the ocx into sys32 & dllcache...not working.  Another culture shock on my Chinese WinXP?

Try it with the ocx just in the same directory as the .exe file for the app. Thats the way I did it, and it worked fine.

when will you guys figure it out that all tehse are are little fun things to hold you all over till the real finder app comes out :P

jk- although, ours will be really full featured, these are great simple little things that really ad the function i need (xplore anyway, havent been able to use bzfinder cause i'm on vacation and only have my mac with me :P )

seriously though, i was about to kill explorer, these are great, and make me so happy

i dont know how bz finder works, but as far as xplore, column browsing is not an option without rewritting the app form teh ground up, all xplore is is new way to use teh explorer core, its kinda like skinning the explorer, cept different-

doesnt really have to much to do with this app in particular cause i havent been able to use it, but i cant wait to, (not till sat.) just i dunno..... yeah :6

JoLeLuv:

This time it's not the Language.

Just copy the ocx file and do a cmd line:  regsvr32 actskin4.ocx

and it runs OK.

I have the same problem. what do u mean by "do a cmd line: regsvr32 actskin4.ocx"? could u like to explain to me?

Thank u.

Start > Run > "cmd" (without the quotes)

A DOS-style window will pop up. type

cd directory_of_ocx_file

(where directory_of_ocx_file is the directory that contains actskin4.ocx)

then

regsvr32 actskin4.ocx

Tisk Tisk Tisk, talking about things you know little about young padawan.

Column style browsing is already underway and well. :P

So please dont speak on my behalf in regards to Xplore and any features that are or arent possible, because anything is possible. :naughty:

;) actually I just go to strat -> run and type in the regsvr32 actskin4.ocx and 'tada~' it's done.

I did this 'cos I have the actskin4.ocx in sys32 folder. If the .ocx is in another folder, you'll have to do as Cerebral says. ;)
